Dominique Pellico, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison for drug offenses and the rape of his then-wife, has opted not to appeal his conviction. The decision, announced by his lawyer Beatrice Zavarro, avoids putting his ex-wife, Gisele Pellico, through another trial. Zavarro stated that 17 co-defendants have already filed appeals, but Pellico’s choice aims to conclude the judicial process swiftly.
