A recent report by the Air Accident Investigation Unit (AAIU) details a drone accident in north Dublin, where a propeller blade fell during a delivery, injuring a man mowing his lawn. The incident, dated July 14, 2022, involved a drone operated by Manna, which was delivering packages in Balbriggan. An investigation found that a bolt securing the blade had a fatigue fracture, leading to a loss of control. The man sustained a minor head injury but did not require hospitalization. The operator has since revised safety procedures and redesigned drone components to prevent future incidents.
