Dublin Solicitor Cahir O’Higgins Found Guilty of Theft and Justice Manipulation
Cahir O’Higgins, a prominent Dublin criminal legal aid solicitor, has been convicted of stealing €400 from a client, Raul Sanz Quilis, during a court appearance in 2016. While representing Sanz Quilis, O’Higgins withdrew €600 from the client’s bank card, claiming it was needed to secure a favorable outcome. Authorities later discovered the discrepancies after Sanz Quilis reported the missing funds. The jury found O’Higgins guilty of theft and four counts of attempting to pervert the course of justice. He has been remanded in custody, with sentencing scheduled for later this month.
