Dublin Woman Jailed for Neglecting Dog with Severe Tumor
Martina Kelly from Dublin has been sentenced to six months in jail, with two months suspended, for neglecting her Jack Russell dog, Lucky, who suffered from an untreated tumor the size of a grapefruit. Judge Anthony Halpin described the case as shocking, highlighting the severe pain experienced by the dog. The court was informed of inadequate attempts made by Ms. Kelly to seek veterinary care, which ultimately endangered Lucky’s life. Following recovery, the dog was rehomed after intervention from the Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
