Dutch F-35 Fighter Jets Intercept Russian Aircraft Over the Baltic Sea
Dutch fighter jets intercepted three Russian aircraft over the Baltic Sea on Friday, marking their first deployment in a mission to secure NATO airspace. Stationed in Estonia, the F-35s escorted the Russian planes to the edge of NATO airspace. Last year, the Netherlands intercepted over 300 Russian aircraft approaching NATO airspace, highlighting ongoing military activity in the region. The Dutch presence in Estonia is set to continue until the end of March, after which another NATO country will take over airspace security duties.
