The Dutch police have received their first of six new water cannons designed for crowd control during demonstrations. This update allows police to rely on their own equipment instead of utilizing colleagues’ resources from Belgium and Germany. The cannons are intended to help disperse large groups when situations escalate. The remaining five vehicles are scheduled for delivery by 2025 and will be stationed in major cities like Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and The Hague.
