Volunteers at the Dwingeloo radio telescope successfully captured a unique signal from Voyager 1, the farthest human-made object, located nearly 25 billion kilometers from Earth. Despite the telescope’s age and initial challenges in tuning to the correct frequency, the team, led by Tammo Jan Dijkema, celebrated this remarkable achievement. Voyager 1, launched by NASA in 1977, continues to send valuable scientific data from interstellar space.
