In France, one in six children is affected by neurodevelopmental disorders, prompting an innovative early screening program in 70 nurseries in Marseille. Initial findings show significant improvements in many infants after early detection. The initiative involves regular assessments by staff trained to identify signs of autism, learning disabilities, and attention disorders. When concerns arise, parents are notified and offered timely interventions. With support from pediatric psychiatrist Gaëlle Broder, the program aims to establish early intervention as a national public health policy, promoting better developmental outcomes for affected children.
