Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew invited over 50 Greek monks in Istanbul to celebrate Christmas with him in a familial atmosphere. The Patriarch blessed a festive meal and led a divine liturgy at the Patriarchal Church of Saint George. He expressed wishes for peace in the Middle East and acknowledged the presence of local mayors, emphasizing unity and solidarity. Bartholomew also welcomed greetings from various dignitaries, including the Greek ambassador, and conveyed festive wishes to Christians in Turkey and a good year for all citizens.
