Greek Deputy Minister of Education Zetta Makri addressed a recent incident involving a 13-year-old student during a school break, confirming that a preliminary investigation is underway to determine potential negligence by teachers. The student, reportedly engaged in a ‘Superman challenge,’ requested leniency for classmates. Makri also emphasized the importance of the ongoing mobile phone ban in schools and noted over 7,000 punishments related to phone usage. She mentioned the introduction of the International Baccalaureate program in public schools as a long-standing option since 1993.
