Efforts Underway to Clear Mud from Tempi Tunnel and Resume Intercity Train Services
Teams are working vigorously to clear mud from a 2.5 km section of the Tempi tunnel in Greece to restart intercity train services. Commercial trains have resumed operations in the downward direction. The maintenance and inspection are set to take time and will run concurrently with the train line’s operations. The CEO of OSE emphasized the importance of a comprehensive study to prevent similar issues in the future.
