Eight Turkish Nationals Arrested in Greece for Weapons and Drug Trafficking

Eight Turkish citizens are set to face a prosecutor today following a police operation aimed at dismantling a weapons and drug trafficking ring. The arrests occurred in Patissia where authorities discovered 48 fully functional pistols, raising concerns about their potential use in criminal activities. In addition to the arrests, over 27 people have been taken into custody in Athens and Thessaloniki. Law enforcement is investigating possible links to Turkish mafia and previous violent incidents in Greece, while also searching for additional suspects related to recent armed encounters.
