Electric Vehicles Surpass Diesel Usage Among Dutch Business Drivers

For the first time, Dutch business drivers logged more kilometers in electric vehicles than in diesel cars, according to the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek (CBS). Last year, nearly 25% of business mileage was attributed to electric cars, a tenfold increase from five years ago. This shift is partly influenced by new zero-emission zones set to launch in several municipalities, encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles. Despite this trend, gasoline cars still dominate, accounting for over half of all business miles driven, as convenience and availability remain key factors for drivers.
