On Saturday, November 30, 2024, the Fire Department of Kastoria successfully rescued thirty-five passengers from a tourist bus that got stranded while traveling from the Monastery of Panagia to Kleisoura due to heavy snowfall and lack of winter tires. The bus was en route from Arabissos, Giannitsa to Kastoria and was stranded on the road. Local authorities quickly intervened, relocating the passengers to nearby taverns with the assistance of rural vehicles and the residents.
