The project for the deepening of Agios Efstratios port, with a budget of €320,000, has been officially approved as part of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy’s program. This initiative aims to enhance maritime connections for the island, allowing larger vessels to dock. Following disruptions in ferry services since November 1, due to insufficient port depth, local authorities emphasized community demands for improved connectivity, leading to this project’s initiation, funded under the Development Program.
