Conditions for displaced Palestinians in Gaza are deteriorating rapidly as cold weather sets in. Many have taken refuge in makeshift tent camps where inadequate shelter and supplies expose them to life-threatening cold. Recent reports indicate the deaths of several individuals, including a newborn, due to hypothermia. With about 90% of the population displaced and a severe lack of humanitarian aid, the situation is increasingly dire, especially for children who are vulnerable to cold and illness.
