Escape of Convicted Murderers Raises Alarm in Greece

Two convicted murderers, serving 20-year sentences for serious crimes, escaped from a minimum-security prison in Greece while working in the prison’s unguarded livestock area. Their escape went unnoticed by correctional staff until hours later, triggering a nationwide alert to locate them. The duo was previously involved in multiple murders, including the 2015 killing of a shop owner and the murder of a 75-year-old woman shortly before their arrest in 2016.
