EU Diplomats and North Macedonia PM Inaugurate Customs Construction at Prespa Border
Mihail Rokas, the head of the EU delegation in North Macedonia, and Prime Minister Christian Mitskoski inaugurated the construction works for a customs building at the Markova Noga site, aimed at reopening the border crossing with Greece after decades. The project, part of the ‘EU for Prespa’ funding program totaling €21.5 million, reflects a commitment to regional connectivity and economic development. Both officials emphasized the importance of this step for enhancing relations and tourism between the two nations, which have been historically hindered.
