European Leaders Emphasize Support for Ukraine Amid Calls for Peace Talks
European officials, including EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, have stressed the necessity of supporting Ukraine against Russian aggression rather than pursuing premature peace talks. Kallas warned that early negotiations could result in unfavorable outcomes for Ukraine, while Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda echoed the sentiment, highlighting Russia’s lack of willingness to negotiate as a reason to delay peace discussions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is also participating in the ongoing summit in Brussels.
