The Pontic Association of Sapon, ‘Ta Kassitera,’ is hosting an event titled ‘100 years since the uprooting and settlement of our ancestors from Nicopolis in Pontus to Kassitera, Rodopi.’ Historian and author Nikos Petridis will be the featured speaker. The event is scheduled for Sunday, December 22, at 6 PM at the multicultural municipal school hall in Sapon, which will also host an exhibition of memorabilia and photographs.
