In the Imera region of Servia, Kozani, over 3,500 acres of olive groves produce exceptional olive oil, attributed to the unique microclimate and rich soil. Dimitris Papadopoulos, president of the local Olive Cooperative, reported a significant improvement in this year’s yield compared to the frost-affected years of 2022 and 2023. While production is estimated at 150 to 200 tons annually, olive oil prices are expected to decrease. There is a growing interest among local youth in olive farming, which offers promising income opportunities.
