Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis announced the national expansion of the ‘OIKOTHEN’ program, initially launched at Agios Savvas Hospital, aimed at providing home care for cancer patients. The program, which began with 6 patients, has now reached 100 and will extend to hospitals across Greece. Georgiadis emphasized the importance of caring for patients and highlighted the experiences of participants, including patient Fotini Diplari, who praised the relief from hospital visits. Oncology expert Michalis Nikolaou noted that future treatment options will further enhance the program’s capacity.
