The Silk Art Museum in Soufli is hosting a captivating exhibition titled ‘What the Heart Hides, the Apron Reveals’ until November 17, 2024. Featuring 35 traditional aprons from across the Evros region, the collection belongs to George Topalidis. These authentic pieces, crafted over the last 100-150 years, showcase beautifully woven or embroidered landscapes and scenes imagined by past generations. The exhibit highlights the rich cultural history of the area, representing around twelve different ethnic groups, from Sarakatsani to Pomaks, reflecting their unique stories and heritage.
