Exploring the Benefits of Greece-Egypt Electric Interconnection GREGY

The Kopelouzos Group presented the advantages of the Greece-Egypt electric interconnection project (GREGY) during an event at the Climate Change Conference COP 29 in Baku. CEO Giannis Karydas highlighted the project’s potential in addressing climate change and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. The interconnection will transmit 3,000 MW of green energy, significantly cutting natural gas usage and CO2 emissions. Key speakers included Greek Environment Minister Theodoros Skylakakis and European Commission officials, among others.
