Extension of Tax and Social Security Payment Deferrals in Greece Due to Flooding
The Greek government has announced a two-month extension of tax and social security payment deferrals for individuals affected by the September 2023 floods. This measure is part of a collaborative effort among several ministries and includes a total of 18 months of payment suspension for specific eligible areas. Additionally, a new regulation will introduce a special repayment scheme in 72 interest-free installments, starting from June 2025. After the suspension period, beneficiaries will be required to resume current contributions.
