An eight-year-old taekwondo athlete, Valina Fetiu, was violently assaulted by her father and coach after losing in the European Championship finals in Tirana, Albania. Shocking footage captured the incident, showing Fetiu being yanked by her helmet and struck in the face by her father, sparking outrage. A referee intervened to stop the assault, and Fetiu was escorted off the mat by another official. The European Taekwondo Federation has since suspended Mr. Fetiu for six months, condemning his ‘physically aggressive’ behavior toward his daughter.
