This decision follows the confirmation of the 2030 World Cup, which will take place in Morocco, Portugal, and Spain, along with matches in Uruguay, Paraguay, and Argentina. Despite concerns regarding human rights and press freedom in the host country, FIFA’s evaluation deemed the Saudi bid as presenting a medium risk. This will mark the second consecutive World Cup in an Arab nation, following Qatar in 2022.
