The final inspection and trial run of the Alexandroupoli-Ormenio train line is taking place today, with the line set to open for public use tomorrow. Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Vasilis Oikonomou, is present along with local officials of the Greek Railway Organization (OSE) to review the restoration works needed for the line’s reopening. This extension of the line follows the recent launch of the Alexandroupoli-Orestiada connection, bringing the total length to 178 km.
