A fire erupted in a single-family home on Orestiados Street in Serres, Greece, prompting an emergency response from the local fire department after 7 PM. Firefighters swiftly contained the blaze, preventing it from spreading to adjacent houses, though part of the building and its reed roof were destroyed. Three fire engines and 12 firefighters from Serres and Nigrita were dispatched. Two men were inside the house at the time, with one, aged 58, taken to the General Hospital of Serres as a precaution.
