Fire Service Responds to Over 3,000 Emergency Calls Due to Severe Weather in Greece
The Greek Fire Service’s Operations Center has received 3,024 emergency calls related to the severe weather conditions brought by the Bora storm from November 30, 2024, to today. Most calls were from Central Macedonia, with significant responses also noted in the islands of Limnos, Chios, and Rhodes. Emergency measures included tree removals, water pumping, and evacuations, with additional firefighter reinforcements sent to the affected areas. Citizens are urged to exercise caution and adhere to safety instructions from authorities.
