First Heating Allowance Payments Begin in Greece
Starting today, December 23, the first heating allowance payments are set to begin in Greece, with funds gradually credited to recipients’ bank accounts. The allowance ranges from €100 to €800, with additional increments based on local weather conditions. In areas facing extreme weather, the payment may reach up to €1,200. Hundreds of thousands have applied for electricity bill subsidies. Remaining payments will be issued in spring, subject to winter weather evaluations.
