On February 2nd, the non-profit organization ‘Domi 1st February 2022 – In Memory of Alkis’ will host the inaugural race for the National Sports Day. This day commemorates the murder of 19-year-old Alkis Kabanos in Thessaloniki. The event aims to promote unity in sports and pay tribute to Kabanos’s memory. Participants will run in his honor, wearing their favorite jerseys, and the races start from the statue of Alexander the Great. The event has the support of the Central Macedonia Region and the City of Thessaloniki.
