On December 3, 2024, five individuals were arrested in Acharnes and central Athens for their involvement in drug trafficking. Authorities identified a criminal organization responsible for distributing heroin, cocaine, and cannabis. Significant quantities of these drugs and various weapons were recovered during police operations, including over 1.4 kg of heroin and three cars. The crackdown targeted two related networks, one of which was distributing drugs near an addiction treatment facility.
