Former BBC Journalist Duncan Bartlett Sentenced to Eight Years for Child Sexual Abuse Offences
Duncan Bartlett, a former BBC journalist, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for committing multiple child sexual abuse offences. He pleaded guilty to 35 charges, including paying for live streams of children being sexually exploited. The Metropolitan Police seized electronic devices from Bartlett, uncovering nearly 6,000 indecent images. Bartlett, who worked at the BBC until 2015 and later as a research associate at SOAS university, did not inform his employer about his criminal activities, which only became known following media coverage of the case.
