Manmohan Singh, the former Prime Minister of India who served two terms and was instrumental in liberalizing the country’s economy as Finance Minister, has passed away at the age of 92. Local reports indicate that Singh, a trained economist and former central bank governor, had been hospitalized at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi.
