Four Arrested for Illegal Archaeological Excavation in Thessaloniki
In Thessaloniki, four men aged 74, 71, 57, and 48 have been arrested for violations of archaeological laws. The arrests took place on November 9, when three of the suspects were caught conducting illegal excavations along the old Thessaloniki-Kilkis national road, using heavy tools under the direction of the oldest suspect. Authorities seized a truck, various excavation equipment, and water pumping systems linked to the illegal activity. The suspects are set to face legal proceedings.
