Francois Bayrou has been appointed as the Prime Minister of France, as announced by the Élysée Palace. The leader of the MoDem party had an extensive meeting with President Emmanuel Macron on Friday morning and will now take on the task of forming a new government. Bayrou is the fourth government head since Macron’s reelection in April 2022.
