Fraport Greece Conducts Large-Scale Emergency Exercise at Thessaloniki Airport

Fraport Greece executed a large-scale emergency exercise at Thessaloniki’s ‘Macedonia’ airport, involving various agencies including the police, fire service, and health operations. The drill simulated an aircraft accident outside the airport, testing emergency response plans and inter-agency coordination. 110 students participated as mock passengers and relatives. After the exercise, Chief Operations Officer Panagiotis Spyratos described it as successful, emphasizing its importance for airport safety and ongoing strategic plans to enhance security across 14 regional airports.
