Fraport has initiated a groundbreaking firefighter training program at its 14 managed airports, including Corfu. Collaborating with a specialized German company, the program features a portable aircraft fire simulator designed to mimic the characteristics of Airbus A320 and Boeing 737. Between December 16-19, 26 firefighters from the 2nd Fire Station led by Commander Konstantinos Mikaleff underwent realistic fire training for situations such as engine fires and cabin emergencies, marking the first exercise of its kind in Greece.
