Fraud Investigation Launched After Olive Oil Scam in Greece
Greek police have initiated an investigation into unknown suspects following a fraud complaint by a company representative. In February 2024, the victim was approached by a man posing as a supermarket representative at an international trade show, leading to an order of 28 pallets containing 20,160 bottles of olive oil valued at €265,032. The perpetrators received the products on July 12, 2024, but have yet to make payment, prompting the police inquiry into the matter.
