Free Renewable Energy Initiative Launched in Offaly for Social Housing

A new initiative in Co Offaly will provide 300 families living in social housing with free hot water by utilizing surplus renewable energy. EnergyCloud, supported by Amazon Web Services and local government, will install smart devices that harness unused wind energy during nighttime. Residents will receive alerts to allow EnergyCloud to heat their water cylinders when free energy is available, aligning with the government’s goal of reducing fossil fuel dependence.
