French Artist Claire Tabouret to Create Contemporary Stained Glass for Notre-Dame Cathedral
French artist Claire Tabouret has been selected to create contemporary stained glass windows for the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. The announcement by the Élysée highlights her prominent career as a painter and sculptor. Tabouret, who works with themes of memory, aims to design windows that enhance visitors’ spiritual journeys. Her project, inspired by the theme of Pentecost, will cover an area of 121 m2 and has received attention from French President Emmanuel Macron. The stained glass will be produced in collaboration with the renowned glass workshop Simon-Marq.
