French Authorities Target Influencers for Hate Speech on TikTok
French authorities have reported three Franco-Algerian influencers, Sofia Benlemmane, Abdesslam Bazooka, and Laksas06, for inciting hate and violence in TikTok videos. The prefect of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Fabienne Buccio, noted that these individuals have been flagged following recent arrests of others making similar calls for violence. This comes amidst increasing concern over the impact of social media on public safety, particularly regarding extremist rhetoric among the diaspora in France.
