French Agriculture Minister Annie Genevard announced new financial support measures for farmers in distress during a visit to Aude. The government is negotiating short-term loans at reduced rates between 1.5% and 2% to help those facing immediate challenges. Additionally, long-term loans with a 50% state guarantee for restructuring debts will be available. The budget for social security contributions relief for the most vulnerable farmers will also increase to 50 million euros. Furthermore, 20 million euros will be allocated for projects enhancing agricultural water security across France.
