French Toy Sales Expected to Surge in December Despite November Dip
Philippe Gueydon, the director of King Jouet and co-president of the toy trade federation, reports a slight 2% decline in toy sales by the end of November. However, he remains optimistic about December, traditionally a strong month for sales. Gueydon attributes the decline to various societal and economic factors. This year, the average spending on toys is stable at 100 euros per child. The toy market in France generates approximately 4 billion euros annually, with December accounting for up to a third of total sales.
