A specialized funding tool is expected to be ready by early 2025 to finance geothermal energy projects in local areas. This initiative will enable the municipality of Irakleia, Serres, to construct essential infrastructure outlined in an economic study for geothermal utilization. During a meeting led by Deputy Minister Alexandra Sdoukou, stakeholders discussed the exploitation and management of the Lithotopou-Irakleia geothermal field, emphasizing the economic potential and current progress of the project.
