Gabriel Attal has been officially elected as the Secretary General of the Renaissance party, founded by Emmanuel Macron, with 94.9% of the votes. He was the sole candidate following Élisabeth Borne’s withdrawal from the race. Attal will also serve as the President of the Macronist group in the Assembly, Ensemble pour la République. Élisabeth Borne was elected as the President of the National Council of the party, where she intends to implement a structured working method focusing on defining priority themes for the council’s discussions.
