Gardaí reported detecting more than 13,570 instances of speeding between the end of November and recent days, alongside 17 road fatalities. Among the notable cases were drivers traveling at 213 km/h and 202 km/h in respective 100 km/h zones. The campaign also saw 85 serious road collisions and 939 arrests for impaired driving. Authorities emphasized the importance of road safety and urged all motorists to exercise caution.
