Germany Unveils National Action Plan to Combat Human Trafficking
Germany’s cabinet has introduced a national action plan aimed at intensifying the fight against human trafficking, pending approval from the Bundestag. The comprehensive 42-page plan features 126 measures, emphasizing prevention, victim protection, and enhanced cooperation among authorities. Led by Family Minister Lisa Paus and Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, the initiative addresses various forms of trafficking, including sexual exploitation, forced labor, and child trafficking. The plan aligns with a recent EU directive aimed at expanding law enforcement measures to tackle human trafficking effectively.
