Giorgia Meloni Appoints Fabrizio Curcio as New Special Commissioner for Flood Reconstruction
Giorgia Meloni, the Italian Prime Minister, has proposed the appointment of Fabrizio Curcio as the new special commissioner for reconstruction in flood-affected areas of Emilia Romagna, Toscana, and Marche. This decision follows dialogues with the President of the Republic and the affected regions. Curcio, who has extensive emergency management experience, replaces General Francesco Paolo Figliuolo. His track record includes significant emergency interventions, including the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the Costa Concordia disaster.
